States, Not Washington, D.C., Need Our Attention

Activists from across Ohio successfully stopped legislation introduced in late 2008 which attempted to call for a Constitutional Convention for the purpose of proposing a balanced budget amendment.  The dangers of calling a constitutional convention under Article V of the U.S. Constitution are not well known among most Americans let alone legislators.  In addition to communicating with the returning resolution sponsors, coalition members are developing a plan to introduce legislation which will rescind any and all historical calls for a Constitutional Convention made by Ohio.  Learn about this effort, how you can help and stay updated on its progress at: www.stoptheconcon.org.
