Analysis of Results
The Constitution Party has run a presidential candidate in each of the last five presidential elections. In 2008, its presidential nominee, Chuck Baldwin, polled a higher percentage of the vote than any previous Constitution Party presidential candidate had ever polled in 27 states.
Those 27 states are: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
In Ohio, a state with minimal infrastructure, Chuck Baldwin received the second highest vote totals (12,550) behind Michigan.

Analysis of Results
Prior to obtaining ballot access for the Constitution Party of Ohio, Chairman Robert M. Owens ran as an independent candidate for the office of Ohio Attorney General vacated by Democrat Marc Dann. Robert put together a coalition of liberty minded groups and individuals that not only challenged the other candidates to discuss the real issues in the debates, but was also the most successful independent race for statewide executive office in Ohio history with 245,611 votes.
